Trade Platform Operations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the MT4/MT5 infrastructure, ensuring stability, uptime, and performance.

• Conduct audits on the current setup to establish reliable uptime, incident, and MTTR baselines.

• Create monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or similar tools.

• Develop incident-response, recovery, and preventive-maintenance playbooks.

• Lead critical production incidents and conduct root-cause analyses.

• Minimize client-facing incidents while enhancing platform reliability.

• Build and manage a dedicated 24/7 platform operations team.

• Recruit, mentor, and implement timezone coverage and escalation procedures.

• Foster relationships with MetaQuotes, Microsoft, and various infrastructure vendors.

• Assist with network access and infrastructure initiatives necessary for independent platform operations.

• Report on reliability metrics, risks, and progress directly to senior leadership.

• Transition MT4/MT5 operations from outsourced services to complete internal ownership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience managing MT4/MT5 infrastructure for a broker, proprietary trading firm, or a comparable trading environment.

• Robust experience in production troubleshooting and incident management.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Zabbix, or ELK.

• Expertise in creating runbooks, recovery procedures, and preventive-maintenance strategies.

• Experience in managing or leading a technical operations team, preferably with 24/7 coverage.

• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and server management.

• Experience collaborating with external infrastructure or platform vendors.

• Capability to work autonomously and make decisions during high-severity incidents.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to report directly to executives.

• Preferred: Experience in Forex, CFD, crypto, equities, FIX, liquidity providers, trading gateways, or broker infrastructure.
