This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Recruit, onboard, and schedule judges for both regional and championship competitions.
• Oversee judge progress and ensure the completion of necessary training, testing, and compliance requirements.
• Manage judge assignments in UKG for scheduled events.
• Relay schedules, logistics, and event details to judges.
• Assess judge performance and implement follow-up training as needed.
• Handle disciplinary actions related to performance, professionalism, or adherence to policies.
• Coordinate staffing, communication, and judging operations for combined events.
• Collaborate with Regional Offices to identify panel needs and staffing requirements.
• Confirm judge assignments, organize travel arrangements, and approve judge payments.
• Offer personalized follow-up and additional training for judges.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with judges across the region.
• Oversee the regional judging budget and event P&Ls.
• Create, review, and maintain judge training materials and educational resources.
• Assist in the planning and execution of judge training, webinars, and educational events.
• Enhance judge training programs and curriculum.
• Contribute insights to improve judge education, consistency, and scoring quality.
• Proficient in cheer scoring systems and associated event technology platforms.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Google Workspace applications.
• At least 3 years of experience in events or competitions.
• Proven capability in leading a team with demonstrated business results.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office are essential.
• Familiarity with current and previous scoring systems is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in the cheer and dance industry is a plus.
• Exceptional customer service skills demonstrated in fast-paced event settings.
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are essential.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Willingness to travel to events, attend staff meetings and training, and work 2–3 weekends per month during event and summer camp seasons as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
• Capability to lift, bend, push, pull, and manipulate equipment weighing at least 30 lbs.
