This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Execute daily operations related to U.S. customs and ensure that import/export activities adhere to CBP regulations and relevant U.S. trade laws.
• Manage customs broker relationships, oversee broker selection, maintain the brokerage handbook and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and audit broker entries for precision.
• Implement records retention practices and maintain documentation that is ready for audits for internal, CBP, and CTPAT assessments.
• Administer KLA’s duty drawback programs both domestically and internationally to optimize duty recovery and achieve cost savings.
• Prepare forecasts for duties and drawbacks, reconcile claims, and assist in tracking post-entry reconciliations and refunds.
• Collaborate with Finance and brokers to ensure the accuracy of drawback data, filings, and supporting documentation.
• Support Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations, including admissions, withdrawals, and inventory tracking per CBP and FTZ Board requirements.
• Analyze trade, duty, and shipment data to uncover trends, compliance risks, and opportunities for duty savings and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau to provide leadership with insights into trade operations performance.
• Convert analysis into actionable recommendations and aid in the automation and continuous enhancement of trade processes.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes and convey their implications for the business; suggest and implement process enhancements and cost-saving strategies.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a master’s degree; or a PhD; or equivalent work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in trade operations, customs/trade compliance, customs brokerage, or import/export activities.
• Solid understanding of U.S. Customs (CBP) regulations, FTZ requirements, and duty drawback processes.
• Exceptional analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and practical experience in transforming trade data into reports, dashboards, and insights using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and/or SQL.
• Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and an audit-ready mentality.
