This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepares documents for defined contribution plans.
• Conducts year-end non-discrimination testing for plans, including ADP, ACP, Top-heavy, 410(b), 415, and 414(s).
• Completes IRS filings such as 5500, 5558, and 5330, while assisting auditors.
• Processes distributions, including withdrawals, in-service distributions, Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), loans, and hardship distributions.
• Maintains regular client communication to address daily service issues and manage vendors.
• Collaborates with vendors to enhance data collection and analysis automation.
• Keeps client and due diligence documentation organized.
• Takes notes during meetings and prepares minutes for various investment committees.
• Aids in plan applications, reviews of plan documents, and the implementation of plans.
• Provides support to the 401(k) Department with general knowledge of the industry.
• Researches and contributes to initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, productivity, compliance, and profitability.
• Adheres to agency management system data standards, ensuring complete and accurate information.
• Bachelor's Degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• At least two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of various retirement plan types and their operations, along with a solid understanding of ERISA guidelines and regulations.
• Experience working with small to mid-sized clients (250+ employees).
• Strong grasp of IRS and ERISA regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships, negotiating, and solving problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient presentation skills, able to convey information to a diverse audience.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability and drive to work independently.
• Solid leadership and time management capabilities.
