Touch Systems Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver targeted course material in a virtual setting

• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning process

• Tailor learning experiences to meet students’ unique needs

• Track student progress using K12’s learning management system

• Collaborate with students and parents to enhance learning and create post-secondary success plans

• Facilitate both synchronous and asynchronous learning activities

• Differentiate instruction according to student mastery levels

• Enhance course content utilizing approved synchronous and asynchronous tools

• Maintain the grade book and make decisions regarding student placement and promotions

• Notify administrators of any concerns related to student performance and progress

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments

• Build positive relationships with families and ensure timely communication with students and parents

• Assist parents and learning coaches with curriculum, instruction, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting

• Implement State, National, and Industry Specific learning standards

• Create instructional tools and strategies to complement the curriculum

• Collaborate with the school's and national professional learning community

• Administer and supervise certification assessments when applicable

• Act as an Advisor for the Career & Technical Student Organization

• Foster business and industry partnerships to provide work-based learning experiences

• Support a project-based learning approach

• Travel up to 20% for professional development, student assessments, or school-related obligations

⛳️ Requirements

• Any business or office education certification

• Business and Finance certification for Grades 6-12

• Business Education certification for Grades 6-12

• Marketing certification for Grades 6-12

• Marketing Education certification for Grades 8-12

• Residency in Texas

• Bachelor’s degree

• Active state teaching license

• Capacity to pass the required background check

• Ability to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data

• Skill in utilizing student data to inform instructional decisions

• Willingness to receive ongoing coaching from administrators and teacher trainers

• Adaptability to change to ensure outstanding student outcomes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

• Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and educational platforms

• Ability to maintain teaching certification and complete professional development hours

• Familiarity with K12 systems, programs, and curriculum

• Ability to work independently, typically more than 40 hours per week

• Capability to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time

• Preferred: Experience with the specified age group

• Preferred: Experience assisting adults and children with technology

• Preferred: Experience teaching online or in a traditional classroom setting

• Preferred: Experience with online learning platforms
