Total Rewards Leader, Systems & Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the design, funding strategy, governance, and comprehensive management of the organization's total rewards programs.

• Lead the annual cycles for compensation, including merit increases, promotions, and bonus planning.

• Act as the executive-level owner of the benefits program.

• Oversee the systems and operational framework that supports total rewards.

• Advocate for the implementation of AI-driven tools and automation within total rewards and HR operations.

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of compensation and benefits analysts as well as HR business partners.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, HRIS/IT, and senior leadership in HR.

• Keep abreast of market trends and changes in legislation.

• Handle vendor management and RFP processes for benefits brokers, carriers, and compensation/HRIS technology partners.

• Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and audit processes.

• Serve as the escalation point for intricate compensation and benefits inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, proven experience in compensation and benefits management.

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing multiple direct reports.

• Strong understanding of compensation structures, market pricing and benchmarking, incentive design, and pay equity practices.

• Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, benefits administration systems, and Greenhouse (ATS).

• Practical experience utilizing AI and automation tools in HR and total rewards operations.

• In-depth knowledge of relevant employment and benefits laws and regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA).

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
