Director of Operations – Germany

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• In the role of Operations Business Director for Germany, you will oversee the operational management of the German market, which is roadsurfer's largest and most lucrative market.

• Your responsibility includes ensuring that stations, fleet, and repair & maintenance processes are stable, efficient, scalable, and that operational goals related to cost, quality, availability, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved.

• You will handle daily operations across all German locations, collaborate closely with central teams within a matrix organization, and guarantee clear processes, consistent execution, and measurable performance.

• You will be accountable for central operational KPIs, which include vehicle availability & downtime, repair & maintenance cost per vehicle, pickup & return productivity, and service & quality metrics (e.g., NPS/SQS).

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in a highly operational leadership position within a decentralized environment.

• Proven responsibility for operational KPIs, budget management, and cost control.

• Experience in operations, fleet management, or asset-heavy business models.

• Leadership experience across multiple locations.

• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

• Excellent execution skills, clarity in action, and a robust hands-on mentality.

• Outstanding communication skills within a matrix organization.

• Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and to the headquarters located in Munich/Frankfurt.
