Title Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and analyze land records to create comprehensive title examinations.

• Assess title examinations for precision and adherence to Florida title standards.

• Detect title concerns and defects in real estate transactions.

• Exhibit the capability to investigate and gather information regarding a specific property (e.g., tax bill, paid assessment letter, lien payoff) and analyze each document to conclude: Is this a legitimate claim? Should this information be included in the preliminary title and/or updated title?

• Review prior starter files to ascertain if the property was previously insured and whether issues should be addressed on title or insured over.

• Formulate and implement strategies to resolve title challenges.

• Keep well-organized documentation and communication throughout the examination and resolution process.

• Adhere to deadlines and deliver high-quality work in a remote setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Established proficiency in Florida title standards and title examination processes.

• Proven experience in preparing title examinations and identifying title issues.

• Successful history of clearing title defects and resolving title challenges.

• Strong capability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Proficiency with land record databases and title examination tools.

• Experience with title examination in other states (preferred).

• Familiarity with title insurance underwriting guidelines (preferred).

• Experience with real property law and transaction closing processes (preferred).

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the real estate sector, specifically focusing on real estate title.

• Solid understanding of residential transaction processes.

• Preferred experience with a title company and/or law firm.

• Minimum of 2 years in the real estate industry.

• Strong comprehension of title commitments, county/municipal requirements, and general title clearance.

• Advanced knowledge of title issues and their resolution.
