Lien Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the prompt and precise resolution of Workers’ Compensation lien claims on behalf of clients.

• Examine medical and non-medical billing, evaluate exposure, and prepare files for negotiation or legal proceedings.

• Conduct audits of bills in accordance with regulations and guidelines.

• Negotiate settlements with lien claimants through phone or email communication.

• Keep accurate and detailed notes in the case management system.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3+ years of experience in lien defense within Workers’ Compensation (experience in a defense firm is highly preferred).

• Strong understanding of California WCAB procedures, OMFS, MTUS, and EAMS.

• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.

• Outstanding communication (both written and verbal) and negotiation skills.

• Knowledge of medical billing codes, provider profiling, and treatment authorization processes.

• A paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education/training is advantageous.
