
Thermal & CFD Engineer – Gas Turbines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Utilize computational tools to conduct thermal analysis for gas turbine components and turbomachinery.
• Spearhead the development of geometry and meshing for analysis models, along with the essential model setup and analysis of those models.
• Post-process and prepare high-quality presentations of results; prepare and present findings during formal technical reviews.
• Create, support, and maintain secondary airflow system models as well as complete engine models.
• Develop and engage in root cause analysis and/or risk failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for gas turbine engines.
• 3-6 years of experience in Thermal Analysis, Aero-Thermal, and Secondary Airflow Systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with fluid dynamics and heat transfer theory.
• Experience with gas turbines is highly desirable.
• Proficient in 1D and 2D flow modeling and solvers.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, maintain composure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with Star-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, or CFX is advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
