This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the execution of U.S. marketing and Venus Thromboembolism Education (VTE) initiatives within a designated region.
• Collaborate with sales management and the sales team to link marketing efforts to physician customers throughout the care continuum.
• Build substantial cross-functional coalitions both internally and externally.
• Manage a vast multi-state territory to implement VTE education programs while identifying and developing resources.
• Serve as the regional expert and liaison on the VTE care path among Penumbra and essential stakeholders.
• Prioritize key account activities across various regions.
• Develop and execute strategies for education and clinical care paths along with clinical program development plans.
• Oversee account education initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Identify and cultivate care path key opinion leaders (KOLs) and educational program opportunities.
• Plan and execute local and regional care path tradeshows, conferences, and meetings.
• Act as the marketing point of contact within a specific sales region.
• Collaborate closely with field sales leaders, sales teams, and clinical groups.
• Function as the regional authority on clinical data related to thrombectomy, integrating product and therapy information into messaging.
• Assist with local public relations initiatives connected to product launches.
• Foster understanding of patient and clinician insights, including behaviors of patients and care path physicians.
• Build relationships with key customers and opinion leaders to facilitate podium representation and product adoption.
• Anticipate and address customer needs effectively.
• Analyze regional activities, recommend new opportunities, and adapt processes and strategies accordingly.
• Promote and uphold the Penumbra brand while increasing therapy awareness.
• Gather and share competitive product, activity, and therapy intelligence with the manager.
• Comply with the Company’s Quality Management System and relevant quality, security, privacy, and compliance regulations.
• Ensure that department members adhere to necessary systems, regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Perform additional work-related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree with over 5 years of increasing responsibilities and experience in program development, quality initiatives, and LEAN Sigma engagements in the hospital or medical device sector, or an equivalent blend of education, training, and work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in program development, clinical quality improvement, and B2B or field marketing.
• Proven experience in developing and executing strategic customer initiatives.
• BSN/RN experience as a PERT, VTE, or Stroke Coordinator, or background in ED, ICU, Pulmonology, or a related practice area is highly desirable.
• Program Management experience, particularly with LEAN Sigma, complemented by a robust clinical background and sound decision-making skills, is advantageous.
• Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment and foster consensus through inclusion.
• Ability to identify and escalate important information or concerns, taking action when necessary.
• Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in establishing strong relationships with internal and external customers and marketing partners.
• Willingness and ability to conduct company business outside of regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Willingness to travel extensively by car and air.
• Valid driver's license for state of residency and an active vehicle insurance policy.
• Capability to operate a moving vehicle.
• Ability to work in Cath Labs or ORs with radiation exposure and wear a lead apron for an average of 2–3 hours.
• Ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Capacity to lift and move up to 20 pounds.
• Required visual abilities include near, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
