This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina, +1 more state.
• Oversee designated accounts within a specific region or territory to facilitate access for both providers and patients, including educating healthcare providers and office personnel about access services and reimbursement solutions related to United Therapeutics' offerings.
• Implement a strategic plan for the region or territory in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, which may encompass call center/HUB services, market access, and/or other matrix field partners.
• Act as the payer authority for a specified geographic area and promptly relay payer updates to key stakeholders.
• Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the reimbursement process, specialty pharmacies, field reimbursement services, and UT's patient support initiatives.
• Provide guidance on patient-level reimbursement concerns while adhering to established policies and clearly defined Rules of Engagement.
• Operate in a compliant manner and closely follow a specific set of Rules of Engagement.
• Manage daily operations that facilitate appropriate patient access to United Therapeutics’ products in healthcare provider offices and serve as a liaison to other patient assistance and access support services provided by United Therapeutics.
• Compliantly assist and support customers as an extension of patient support when necessary, including in-person customer visits.
• Engage in cross-matrix meetings as needed.
• Attend regularly scheduled team meetings and calls.
• Record call activities in the customer relationship management tool (CRM).
• Deliver office education and raise awareness throughout the entire access process, which may involve formulary coverage/utilization management criteria, insurance forms and procedures, benefits investigation, prior authorization, appeals, and/or claims resolution.
• Train physician office staff on utilizing patient support services using UT-approved educational materials, including web-based provider portals and other available tools/resources.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD/PharmD with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in Market Access and/or Field Reimbursement for specialty products.
• Familiarity with specialty/biologic products and/or complex reimbursement processes.
• Proven experience educating healthcare professionals on client-specific patient service programs (e.g., copay, nurse education, patient assistance, etc.).
• Capability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems effectively.
• Solution-oriented approach, strong business acumen, and robust analytical skills.
• Willingness to manage travel commitments exceeding 50%.
