This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Cultivate trustworthy relationships with qualified treatment centers (QTCs), healthcare professionals, and patient organizations.
• Support the QTC in Utrecht, Netherlands, coordinating patient treatment in alignment with the Product Manual while facilitating the necessary documentation exchange with Orchard’s Supply Chain Team.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director to engage disease experts through advisory boards and individual interactions to expedite patient identification and diagnosis.
• Supervise the creation of disease-related and product-related materials and their approval for use in the Benelux region, in conjunction with the Medical Director.
• Promote disease awareness and identify potential patient candidates for treatment with Libmeldy® and other Orchard gene therapies.
• Address access issues for potential patient candidates seeking gene therapy in partnership with the Market Access function.
• Organize activities and monitor the budget within the franchise.
• Exemplify corporate values and behaviors; ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, corporate SOPs, and uphold the highest ethical standards.
• Execute additional tasks and assignments as delegated by management concerning strategy and operations in the neurometabolic franchise.
• Represent Orchard at meetings and conferences.
• Must reside in the Netherlands.
• Prior experience working in the Benelux region is preferred.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry, with at least 2+ years in rare disease and/or gene therapy preferred.
• Strong academic credentials; an undergraduate degree in a pharmaceutical, medical, or scientific field is required.
• An MD, PhD, or relevant postgraduate business degree is preferred.
• Significant experience in commercial or medical affairs within pharmaceutical companies, demonstrating expertise in supporting product launches, innovative therapies, and medical-marketing initiatives.
• Experience in rare diseases or specialty diseases is essential.
• Proven track record in building trusted relationships with disease experts (in collaboration with the medical team) and other public influencers to promote therapy adoption.
• Possess strong scientific acumen.

• A resilient individual who excels at overcoming challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication in French is an advantage.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
