Testing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Supervise assessments of equipment, services, or programs for public sector organizations aimed at enhancement and modernization.

• Direct staff responsible for testing and evaluating products, equipment, services, or programs.

• Guarantee compliance with accessibility standards and usability, ensuring adherence to WCAG 2.1 guidelines and Section 508 regulations.

• Manage manual usability testing by involving participants experienced in assistive technologies.

• Lead and coordinate efforts in accessibility testing, incorporating accessibility into testing methodologies.

• Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders through effective contract management.

• Guide testers by providing coaching, setting expectations, and fostering aligned objectives.

• Convey and clarify new directives, policies, or procedures to testing staff.

• Represent the organization positively.

• Act as the primary contact for both internal and external partners involved in testing and evaluation processes.

• Deliver reports detailing testing activities, accessibility insights, statistics, and quality assurance information.

• Utilize IT tools such as Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Zoom, Slack, and various LMS platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the last ten (10) years managing evaluations of equipment, services, or programs for public sector organizations.

• At least one (1) year of experience in drafting evaluation or assessment reports for non-technical audiences.

• A minimum of one to three (1-3) years of experience in testing and evaluating the accessibility of equipment, services, or programs.

• Practical experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, NVDA, WAVE, JAWS, VoiceOver, etc.).

• Familiarity with and experience in WCAG 2.1, Section 508, and other relevant accessibility standards.
