This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.
• Take ownership of automated, performance, and security testing for the CMS DDPS/PRS environment.
• Maintain an automated unit test coverage of 80% or higher using Python Pytest/UnitTest and DBFit/FitNesse frameworks.
• Facilitate BDD and TDD methodologies among all sprint teams.
• Conduct regression and post-implementation validation testing after each CMS release.
• Integrate automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize CMS enterprise test tools for managing test cases, tracking defects, and maintaining source-controlled test artifacts.
• Establish and uphold QASP performance standards, metrics, measurement techniques, reporting schedules, and corrective action thresholds.
• Submit quarterly QASP self-assessments within 2 weeks following the end of each PI.
• Monitor and report real-time operational quality metrics, including PDE processing volumes, error rates, reconciliation accuracy, and system uptime.
• Oversee security testing and adhere to CMS AI governance policies when evaluating AI/ML models.
• Collaborate within the CMS Lean-Agile Release Train, participate in PI Planning, and deliver Release Deliverables.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years in software QA, with a focus on test automation leadership in production environments.
• Proficient hands-on experience with Python, Pytest, and UnitTest.
• Familiarity with DBFit and FitNesse database testing frameworks.
• Experience with TestRail, JIRA, and GitHub.
• Proven track record of enforcing automated test coverage thresholds of 80% or more in CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Jenkins/CloudBees, JFrog Artifactory/XRay, SonarQube, and Snyk.
• Experience in designing performance testing strategies for high-volume data processing systems.
• Skilled in developing and maintaining QASP performance standards and submitting quarterly self-assessments on federal contracts.
• Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, and New Relic.
• Understanding of FISMA, NIST, and CMS ARS security compliance testing requirements.
• Ability to successfully pass CMS and internal mandatory background checks for public trust.
• Position contingent upon contract award.
