Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Serve as both a business analyst and test engineer on various customer projects and programs.

• Assess business and operational needs to determine acceptance criteria.

• Create and implement test plans and test cases based on the user story acceptance criteria methodology.

• Conduct functional testing to ensure that outputs and calculations accurately meet requirements.

• Execute regression testing to verify that new features do not interfere with existing functionality.

• Carry out user acceptance testing to confirm that updates fulfill business requirements and enhance effective end-user interaction with web-based systems.

• Develop traceability matrices linking business requirements to implemented features while ensuring comprehensive test case coverage.

• Generate test findings reports for key stakeholders.

• Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives.

• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, and training materials.

• Collaborate with both internal and external customers.

• Analyze, assess, and implement processes that support customer programs.

• Engage in technical writing and editing for written deliverables and products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have resided in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge is required.

• Must successfully pass a government Public Trust background investigation.

• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant discipline is mandatory.

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience is required.

• At least 2 years of experience in business analysis and/or testing is necessary.

• Previous experience with the Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services is desirable.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.

• Must demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-volume, and fast-paced setting.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is a must.

• Self-motivated individual is preferred.

• Willingness to take the lead, provide opinions, and direct efforts is essential.

• Ability to escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.

• Capability to work collaboratively in a team and engage in formal reviews of deliverable products.

• Excellent organizational skills are required.

• Experience with sprint-management tools, such as Jira, is preferred.
