This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Establish the quality and release strategy roadmap across various applications.
• Supervise release management processes.
• Direct and offer technical support to contract QA testing analysts throughout test analysis, design, execution, defect reporting, and resolution.
• Own the testing strategy throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate with program and project managers to ensure testing aligns with requirements, success criteria, schedules, resources, and delivery objectives.
• Oversee the planning and execution of product and system testing, including test approach, scope impacts, methodologies, tools, and automation strategies.
• Ensure that testing verifies both functional and non-functional requirements and adheres to QA standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage end-to-end testing delivery, track progress, handle defects, report status to leadership, and facilitate the resolution of cross-functional testing issues.
• Maintain test documentation and review records.
• Suggest improvements and participate in phase-end reviews.
• Take proactive measures to address risks and release issues to guarantee timely and high-quality delivery.
• Manage the relationship with the contracted QA service provider.
• Oversee daily QA delivery for assigned tracks, including test plans, estimates, execution schedules, and sprint/release milestone completion.
• Lead and mentor QA consultants through work allocation, capacity planning, onboarding, and ensuring accountability to SLAs and quality standards.
• Apply QA standards, test plans, entry/exit criteria, and quality gates; escalate exceptions to the Senior Manager.
• Enhance automation coverage and sustain reliable automated suites within existing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Oversee AI-assisted testing, which includes test case generation, self-healing automation, defect triage support, and test data creation; assess AI output accuracy.
• Manage release readiness, dependencies, risks, and QA recommendations for go/no-go decisions.
• Review quality metrics, including defect trends, coverage, escape rate, automation pass rate, and release health.
• Facilitate QA partner transition activities, including knowledge transfer, shadow and reverse-shadow execution, evidence capture, and exit-criteria sign-off.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and work experience.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing.
• Experience in developing and documenting business requirements.
• Experience reviewing business requirements and technical design documents.
• Experience in identifying test conditions based on business requirements and technical design.
• Experience in developing test cases derived from test conditions, business requirements, and technical design.
• Proven ability to proactively identify, research, and resolve issues.
• Experience in creating reusable documentation.
• Familiarity with testing, working with, or evaluating third-party vendor packages.
• Proven experience working in strong, collaborative team environments.
• Skilled in analyzing test results for validity and accuracy.
• Advanced understanding of supported business functions, workflows, systems, and transactions.
• Excellent knowledge of system design processes, methodologies, and testing tools.
• Project management capabilities.
• Ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership.
• Knowledge of various operating systems including MVS, AIX/UNIX/LINUX, Windows, iOS, Android, and Mac.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Understanding of infrastructure/architectural concepts, database design concepts, and server languages.
• Knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with various test approaches including Baseline, Parallel, Black Box, White Box, and Gray Box.
• Agile Certification, PMI Certifications, and other relevant technology certifications such as ISTQB, CSM, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Exposure to domains such as Insurance, Claims, and Salesforce platforms.
• Hands-on experience in building Agentic AI solutions and leading related delivery models.
• Familiarity with API or performance testing.
