Test Engineering, Co-Op

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a quality advocate while operating within an agile software development environment.

• Work in close collaboration with software engineers, designers, and product managers.

• Analyze requirement specifications and engage in discussions regarding software design and testability to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

• Draft test plans or test cases for user stories, with some guidance.

• Prepare data sets to assess logic, error handling, and system workflows.

• Isolate, reproduce, and track defects.

• Verify code changes and fixes.

• Carry out QA responsibilities within an agile scrum team; participate in sprint planning, refinement, and retrospective meetings.

• Develop (code, debug, test) test automation code.

• Oversee the CI/CD test pipeline for code builds and troubleshoot test failures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Actively pursuing a master's or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.

• Typically, 0-2 years of relevant experience is required.

• Experience with manual testing; some familiarity with testing web applications on browsers such as IE, Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.

• Basic knowledge and programming experience in Python, Java, or Go.

• Understanding of database interaction, e.g., MongoDB and SQL.

• Some exposure to cloud technologies (AWS preferred).

• Familiarity with Git and GitHub is preferred.

• Familiarity with testing REST APIs is preferred.

• A problem solver and troubleshoot expert.
