Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Analyze product, feature, and design specifications to ensure thorough test coverage.

• Define user stories and develop comprehensive test plans.

• Create and uphold manual test cases.

• Lead automation initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

• Assist stakeholders in estimating efforts and planning.

• Engage in sprint planning, standups, and other agile ceremonies.

• Conduct feature, regression, and release testing.

• Draft clear and concise bug reports and work collaboratively with developers to reproduce and rectify issues.

• Proactively identify and implement enhancements to product quality and testing methodologies.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and project leads to meet critical deadlines, milestones, and reporting requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of QA experience, including familiarity with test automation.

• Bachelor's Degree ideally in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, capable of creating and maintaining automated tests.

• Proficient in adapting to various programming languages.

• Knowledge and practical experience in software QA processes and methodologies.

• Experience in an Agile or software development lifecycle methodology.

• Strong skills in root cause analysis and problem-solving.

• Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Sound professional judgment and the ability to navigate through ambiguity.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control is an advantage.

• Experience in testing desktop, mobile, or web applications is a plus.

• Knowledge or experience with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux is a plus.

• Knowledge or experience with virtualization technologies like Docker, VMware, VirtualBox, or Google Cloud Virtual Machines is a plus.

• Comfort with at least two of the following tools or similar is a plus: Frameworks: Appium, Cucumber/Selenium, Robot Framework, PyTest, desktop automation frameworks, API/Web Service automation frameworks; Languages: Python, Java, PowerShell, Bash, Batch scripting.
