This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify and secure new small to medium business clients within a specified territory.
• Onboard and support newly acquired accounts.
• Engage with prospects through phone, video, in-person meetings, and digital platforms.
• Schedule the required number of weekly appointments with relevant decision-makers.
• Identify additional and programmatic needs of prospects.
• Articulate Staples' value propositions, capabilities, products, and offerings.
• Address objections and successfully close sales.
• Utilize designated sales tools, including Priority List, Tenfold, and SFDC, to prioritize tasks, enhance efficiency, and document customer interactions.
• Collaborate with customer support, setup teams, and category experts to advance deals to successful closure.
• Implement and facilitate wins while ensuring adherence to new account or program requirements.
• Aid in product selection and standardization based on the purchasing processes of the prospect's industry.
• Establish accounts that maintain ongoing purchases from Staples.
• Incorporate prospect feedback into sales strategies.
• Develop new customer assortments and pricing structures.
• Engage professionally with prospects on a daily basis, both in person and virtually.
• Operate remotely while serving customers in the Northwest Los Angeles, California area.
• 1-3 years of proven sales experience or success as a Staples B2B Sales Associate.
• 3+ years of proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong motivation and a competitive spirit.
• Demonstrated ability to view rejection as a learning experience and to focus on subsequent actions.
• Experience with a successful history in business development.
• Ability to create and deliver presentations both virtually and in person.
• Expertise in consultative selling, solutions selling, insight selling, negotiation, and advanced client management.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with product category sales team members.
• Strong understanding of business, finance, operations, and technology.
• Ability to analyze business and industry trends to develop customized solutions.
• Capability to operate independently with minimal daily supervision.
• Drive to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities.
• Proven work ethic and self-discipline.
• Ability to thrive in a competitive sales or goal-driven environment.
• Openness to coaching and incorporating feedback.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools is preferred.
• Industry knowledge is advantageous.
• Candidate should reside in or near the Northwest Los Angeles, CA area.
