This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Plan and implement a business strategy to achieve sales objectives and fulfill customer requirements.
• Acquire new clients and enhance relationships with existing ones.
• Employ approved sales and marketing resources within the allocated budget.
• Ensure prompt and effective communication regarding market and competitive trends, along with requests for pricing or payment adjustments.
• Expand IKO's market presence within the designated territory.
• Establish and nurture relationships while increasing sales with assigned distribution partners in the territory.
• Regularly engage with roofing contractors, remodelers, builders, and architects to stimulate demand for IKO products.
• Deliver presentations on products and programs to qualified distributors and end-users on a weekly basis.
• Conduct Product Knowledge (PK) training sessions for customers.
• Respond to inquiries from customers or IKO administration promptly.
• Submit weekly Intelligence Reports in a timely manner.
• Attend meetings, events, and company-sponsored training as necessary.
• Investigate and address product quality complaints within the territory.
• Comply with all IKO policies and procedures, including those related to Health and Safety and Vehicle use.
• Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Proven experience in engaging primarily with end-users and utilizing "pull-through" sales techniques.
• Documented success in achieving and surpassing sales targets.
• Prior sales experience in the building products sector is preferred.
• Previous sales experience reaching out to roofing contractors, builders, and/or architects is preferred.
• Prior professional sales training is advantageous.
• A 2 or 4-year college degree in a Sales or Marketing-related discipline is preferred.
• A good driving record along with a valid driver's license.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
