• Oversee the current business within the designated territory, identifying new opportunities, managing your time, and utilizing company resources to consistently meet or surpass quarterly and annual sales goals.
• Execute sales calls to contractors, EPCs, industrial facilities, and distributors within the assigned region to establish market preference for Hubbell WDK products.
• Organize and conduct product demonstrations at contractor and industrial sites to foster relationships with potential and existing users of Hubbell WDK products.
• Generate budgetary project estimates for end-users during project design and prepare formal proposals for our distributors prior to the official bid day.
• Deliver timely expert service to end-users, specification influencers, and distributors to cultivate strong relationships within the territory while generating demand for Hubbell WDK’s product range.
• Successfully engage with a variety of clients at events including formal presentations, small group meetings, one-on-one interactions, trade shows, and business-related social gatherings.
• Be adept at communicating through your contact's preferred medium, whether that be in person, via Teams, phone calls, text messages, or email.
• Educate distributor personnel on selling and promoting Hubbell WDK products.
• Proactively manage distributor stock levels to ensure optimal order fill rates while enhancing their inventory turnover.
• Keep precise and timely records in Salesforce and Concur.
• Complete personal sales training as directed by Field Management and Human Resources.
• Inform your District Sales Manager of any obstacles, opportunities for sales growth, achievements, and suggestions for new products, modifications, or sales tools.
• Cover open territories as assigned by the District Sales Manager.
• Provide customers with the appropriate literature, technical specifications, drawings, and cross-reference information upon request.
• A college degree is required, along with four (4) years or more of relevant electrical product sales experience, or a High School diploma with ten (10) years or more of related electrical product sales experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas is mandatory.
• Excellent persuasive interpersonal skills to effectively engage with potential and existing clients.
• Customer-centric approach with an emphasis on delivering outstanding customer service and nurturing long-term relationships.
• Ability to withstand rejection and setbacks while maintaining a positive and persistent attitude towards achieving objectives.
• Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage leads, follow-ups, and sales appointments.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Salesforce (CRM) software or other sales tracking systems to manage and update customer information.
• Capacity to collaborate with the sales team and other departments to effectively address customer needs.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential for success.
• Experience in electrical product sales is required.
• Preference for candidates with experience selling to electrical contractors.
• The ideal candidate must be proficient in MS Office and possess excellent presentation skills.
