This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.
• Accountable for the enhancement of agency partnerships to boost the profitability of GEICO and its affiliated products within a designated area.
• Identifies, interviews, and approves new agency appointments to broaden GEICO’s distribution network.
• Oversees agents in a specific area using in-person meetings, virtual communications, phone calls, and emails to foster relationships, conduct training, and manage agency performance.
• Enforces the policies and procedures governing the agency program.
• Evaluates the territory to determine optimal allocation of time and resources, and formulates a strategic plan aimed at achieving growth and profitability objectives.
• Develops and documents effective pre-call strategies while IDENTIFYING new opportunities to assist the agency in increasing its written premium, thoroughly documenting each sales interaction and agency strategy that supports the sales process.
• Collaborates with product management to pinpoint new opportunities.
• Crafts and presents annual and semi-annual sales plans, along with regular updates and reports to leadership to aid in strategic reporting.
• Ability to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and possess strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Aptitude for learning and applying substantial amounts of technical and procedural information.
• Previous experience in driving sales results.
• Experience working with various lines of insurance is advantageous (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health).
• Must be able to perform essential functions, with or without accommodation, which include, but are not limited to, seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking.
• Must communicate in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner over the phone.
• Compliance with the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles.
• Adherence to GEICO’s driving standards and/or policy.
• Must meet attendance standards at the business location to perform necessary job functions and facilitate interaction with subordinates and management.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of sales or relevant insurance experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Independent Agents.
