This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Propel sales growth and enhance market presence throughout Manitoba by utilizing strategic territory management and engaging with customers.
• Establish and nurture relationships with agricultural retailers, entrepreneurs, growers, agronomists, crop advisors, and industry influencers.
• Discover and cultivate new retail prospects, strategic accounts, partnerships, and initiatives for market expansion.
• Oversee territory priorities, sales forecasting, pipeline development, and opportunity tracking.
• Implement sales programs, promotional initiatives, and strategies for product positioning.
• Promote demand generation through customer interactions, field events, product demonstrations, agronomy tours, and educational programs for growers.
• Create and execute territory business plans aligned with revenue objectives, product adoption, and customer development.
• Identify fresh market opportunities, customer segments, and growth strategies throughout Manitoba.
• Relay market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to internal teams.
• Represent Vive at trade shows, agronomy meetings, grower events, customer presentations, and industry conferences.
• Assist in the introduction and commercialization of new products and technologies.
• Collaborate with teams in Agronomy, Marketing, Biology, Product Development, and Sales leadership.
• Utilize digital agronomy and precision agriculture tools for customer engagement, agronomic positioning, and business growth.
• Provide retail partners, ag entrepreneurs, and customers with agronomic and commercial advice.
• Work alongside retail partners and technical teams on product positioning, customer recommendations, and ensuring field success.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Business, Marketing, Plant Production, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Western Canadian cropping systems, including cereals, canola, pulse crops, and specialty crops.
• Proven experience collaborating with agricultural retailers, entrepreneurs, consultants, growers, and industry influencers across Western Canada.
• Background in introducing new products and technologies to the market and facilitating commercial adoption.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-driven, results-focused, and adept at working independently in a territory-based role.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; capable of managing competing priorities in a dynamic growth setting.
• Familiarity with biological products, precision agriculture, and digital agronomy technologies is considered advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of crop protection products, agronomic positioning, and agricultural sales processes.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth, manage customer relationships, and create strategic business opportunities.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, territory management, agronomy sales, ag retail, or business development within Canadian agriculture.
• Possess a valid passport with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory and occasionally across Western Canada, Eastern Canada, and parts of the US.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, depending on home location.
• Capacity to work autonomously in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Openness to extensive travel during critical seasonal periods, customer events, and sales activities.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
