This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create and implement strategic sales initiatives to reach sales objectives and grow the customer base for Topcon ophthalmic imaging equipment.
• Identify and qualify new prospects through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
• Perform product demonstrations and presentations for healthcare professionals, highlighting the features and advantages of Topcon imaging systems.
• Assess customer needs and suggest suitable solutions tailored to their requirements and budget.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, contracts, and financing options.
• Negotiate terms and finalize sales agreements to achieve revenue goals.
• Work closely with Clinical Application Specialists, Field Service Technicians, installation teams, and customer service representatives consistently.
• Basic installation of certain equipment and comprehensive training for customers on equipment usage is necessary.
• Participation in trade shows on occasional weekends and evenings for conferences and events is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Health, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated history of success in medical device sales, ideally with experience in selling ophthalmic imaging equipment or related healthcare technologies.
• Solid understanding of Ophthalmology, Optometry, and diagnostic imaging processes.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the capability to convey technical and financial information clearly and convincingly.
• Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities, with a focus on achieving outcomes and surpassing sales targets.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% within the designated territory and to conferences in Canada and the USA as necessary.
• This travel will involve rental cars, air travel, and occasional delivery of some equipment.
• Capability to lift up to 80lbs for equipment setup.
• Must possess a current, valid unrestricted driver’s license and an updated passport.
