This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Expand the business within the designated territory by nurturing existing customer relationships and acquiring new clients through relationship building, cold calling, and customer meetings.
• Evaluate competitor actions in the area and identify potential business development opportunities.
• Stay informed on industry news and trends to uncover avenues for new business growth.
• Participate in relevant industry events and conferences as needed to foster business development and sales.
• Serve as a liaison among the Customer, Customer Service, and Manufacturing Facility.
• Strive to meet revenue objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as product quotas, annual sales targets, new product development sales requirements, and minimum quote funnel standards as determined by the organization.
• Coordinate activities and communicate effectively with the Regional Sales Manager, other Territory Sales Managers, Segment Managers, National Distribution Manager, and any other Storage Solutions team members who can support a project or account.
• Attain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all Smart Storage products.
• Deliver product training to distributors and end users on all Storage Solutions offerings, including existing products, new products, and additional services (literature, digital applications & tools).
• Cultivate and utilize distributor partnerships to achieve assigned territory revenue goals.
• Oversee and operate within a specified Travel and Entertainment budget.
• Adhere to all Stanley Black & Decker Business Conduct guidelines and regulations.
• Travel responsibilities involve visiting end users and distributors, collaborating with local Territory Sales Managers to enhance sales within the region. Some additional travel outside of the territory may be necessary for training and company-wide meetings.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred (in Business, Sales, Management, or related fields).
• At least 5 years of sales experience in industrial products or related complex commercial product sales.
• Experience in direct sales as well as through dealers/distributors is preferred.
• Capability to develop and present programs to both customers and the sales organization.
• Proficient in computer usage, particularly with MS Office products and CAD software.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com is advantageous.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Self-driven with high energy levels.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Competence to plan and execute responsibilities while working autonomously.
• Excellent driving record.
• Willingness to travel daily within the territory for sales meetings and events as required.
• Availability to work and travel on weekends and outside standard business hours for business events such as trade shows and customer meetings.
