This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Create detailed business strategies to meet sales objectives within the designated territory.
• Evaluate market dynamics, competitor actions, and customer demands to guide strategic initiatives.
• Train, mentor, and assist local growers and retail representatives to help them achieve their goals.
• Ensure the seed treating network in the territory operates effectively during the spring planting season and is well-maintained throughout the summer.
• Advocate for Pivot Bio NOVATOR Sustainability initiatives.
• Strategically segment the territory to optimize sales opportunities.
• Conduct frequent sales field visits with grower clients and prospects to promote Pivot Bio products.
• Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the agricultural sector.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor sales representatives in conjunction with Regional Distribution Managers.
• Support Sales Representatives in invoicing and collection efforts, including enrollment in Pivot Bio sponsored financing programs.
• Collaborate with commercial agronomists to introduce innovative products and implement strategies to reclaim customers, ensuring alignment on agronomic solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and foster business growth.
• Travel four days a week within the assigned territory to engage with clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in the agriculture industry, preferably in biotech or agribusiness sales.
• Demonstrated success in agricultural sales and team leadership.
• Proven ability to motivate, develop, and manage a sales team.
• Strong track record in agricultural sales focused on independent inputs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders.
• Capability to analyze market trends and data to support informed decision-making.
• Experience in managing and segmenting territories for optimal coverage.
• Exceptional verbal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
