This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Establish and nurture a network of contacts to uncover new sales opportunities.
• Identify, assess, and secure new business prospects within the biotech and life sciences fields in the designated area.
• Negotiate terms and finalize sales transactions.
• Engage with clients to understand their product or service requirements, and suggest suitable solutions.
• Demonstrate the functionalities and advantages of products or services customized to meet customer needs.
• Cultivate and enhance existing accounts through regular follow-ups, customer service, and relationship management to ensure repeat sales; record all activities in CRM systems.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings with potential and current clients to showcase BPS’ product offerings to C-suite executives, researchers, lab managers, and procurement teams.
• Guarantee customer satisfaction through continuous communication and relationship management; promptly resolve any post-sale issues.
• Collaborate with internal technical experts and product managers to meet complex client requirements and ensure fulfillment.
• Maintain communication with current and former customers to update them on new products, services, and improvements.
• Keep detailed records of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost opportunities, and customer or vendor relationship matters; track all interactions using CRM tools.
• Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports for the territory.
• Participate in scientific conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor actions to inform sales strategies.
• Collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams and offer territory support for colleagues during their absences, ensuring uninterrupted customer service and support.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (preferred), or a degree in Business.
• At least 7+ years of pertinent sales or industry experience is essential.
• Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills with a focus on achieving results.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
• Strong organizational capabilities.
• Exhibits a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness in all work aspects.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
• Self-driven and able to work independently.
• Willingness and capacity to travel extensively within the designated territory.
