This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +8 more states.
• Formulate and implement regional sales strategies aimed at meeting revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
• Discover and pursue new business prospects within manufacturing and associated sectors.
• Perform market research and competitive assessments.
• Develop and sustain a strong sales pipeline through proactive outreach.
• Create growth plans for territories and accounts.
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, operations leaders, and procurement teams.
• Act as the primary contact for customers throughout the sales process.
• Conduct customer visits, facility tours, and engage in technical discussions.
• Lead opportunities from initial prospecting through to proposal development, negotiation, contract awarding, and project execution.
• Showcase automation, packaging, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, operations, and leadership teams to provide customized solutions.
• Prepare and present sales presentations, proposals, and business cases.
• Meet or surpass quarterly and annual sales objectives.
• Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, opportunity tracking, customer records, and sales activity reports in CRM systems.
• Monitor account performance and recognize opportunities for expansion.
• Represent NCC at trade shows, conferences, networking events, and customer meetings.
• Provide updates on territory performance, pipeline status, account health, market insights, and strategic planning to leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
• A combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
• At least five (5) years of proven B2B sales success in automation, manufacturing, packaging equipment, material handling, contract manufacturing, industrial equipment, or engineered solutions.
• Demonstrated success in developing new business and expanding strategic customer accounts.
• Proven ability to manage lengthy sales cycles and intricate customer purchasing processes.
• Experience in selling capital equipment, automation systems, or custom manufacturing solutions is preferred.
• A history of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing and automation processes.
• Exceptional negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Robust prospecting and business development skills.
• Capability to identify customer needs and create value-driven solutions.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in influencing stakeholders across various organizational levels.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to travel by air and ground transportation as necessary.
