This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Surpass annual targets for new business production, direct written premium, loss ratio, and various KPI objectives.
• Oversee independent agents within a designated Minnesota market to enhance market share through profitable growth.
• Promote and position National General Insurance products, which include personal auto, homeowners, commercial vehicle, flood, recreational vehicle, Specialty Vehicle, and Household package coverages.
• Implement the annual execution plan for growth, profitability, agency engagement, and new appointments within the market.
• Serve as the liaison for the company with independent agencies and industry associations.
• Dedicate four days each week to fieldwork, driving business initiatives, while maintaining precise CRM records of sales activities, client interactions, and follow-ups.
• Partner with independent agents to develop agency-specific strategic business plans for both short- and long-term goals.
• Analyze production data and reporting to uncover trends, opportunities, and agency performance gaps.
• Boost quote and issuance flow beyond established and implemented rate and underwriting trends.
• Collect market intelligence regarding competitors, brokers, and industry associations to effectively promote and position products.
• Oversee product and user integration with industry technologies and comparative rating platforms.
• Work in collaboration with Product, Pricing, and Operations teams on stakeholder and risk analysis.
• Cultivate and manage the pipeline for new agency appointments.
• Assist National Accounts and Alternative Distribution initiatives at the local market level.
• Mentor new Territory Sales Managers.
• Candidates must reside in Minnesota, preferably in the Minneapolis region.
• A 4-year Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Strong consultative sales skills.
• Knowledge of property and casualty insurance.
• Proficient relationship-building skills.
• Experience in sales.
• Familiarity with territory management.
• In-depth understanding of the independent agency channel, including competitors, brokers, and national industry associations.
• Competence in using CRM software, production data, and reporting tools.
• Capability to work in the field four days per week.
• Authorization to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor work visas.
• A dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions.
• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
