This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.
• Formulate and implement territory sales strategies to meet annual revenue goals across HVACR product categories, such as controls, thermostats, compressors, and condensing units.
• Discover and leverage new business opportunities, fostering growth through both distribution and contractor channels.
• Generate demand by employing pull-through sales techniques, engaging contractors, and participating in contractor rewards initiatives.
• Create and execute branch-specific sales and marketing plans, which may include open houses, trade exhibitions, and promotional activities.
• Establish and nurture robust, long-lasting relationships with wholesalers, contractors, and key accounts within the designated territory.
• Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions for wholesalers and contractors to enhance their product knowledge and application skills.
• Advocate for and contribute to Copeland’s Technical Training Programs, promoting a “teaching for differentiation” approach.
• Keep precise and current records of customer interactions, opportunities, and competitive insights within Salesforce.
• Monitor and report sales performance, training initiatives, and market dynamics.
• Work collaboratively with operations, marketing, product planning, and engineering teams to provide customer-centric solutions and foster portfolio growth.
• Uphold a strong customer-first mentality while balancing business goals and operational constraints.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in outside sales.
• Demonstrated success in building customer relationships and driving sales growth.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
• Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Resilience under pressure and good judgment on when to escalate issues.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
