This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +11 more states.
• Take ownership of and enhance agency relationships across a designated multistate region.
• Interact with agency owners, producers, service representatives, and brokerage leaders.
• Design and implement a territory strategy aimed at boosting agency engagement, service quality, retention, and partnerships.
• Meet with agency partners both virtually and in person to comprehend their business requirements, provide education, address issues, and emphasize Assurant’s value proposition.
• Assist agencies with products, underwriting, systems, claims, onboarding, program modifications, contracts, and significant claims or catastrophe events.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate flood business and expand Assurant’s market share within agency portfolios using performance metrics and market insights.
• Collaborate with internal teams and lead business evaluations.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of agency and contractual information.
• Represent Assurant at agency meetings and industry gatherings.
• Enhance visibility through on-site agency visits, educational outreach, and market presence.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, sales, strategic client support, or a closely related field.
• Proficient technical skills across various computer systems, tools, and technologies.
• Exceptional presentation abilities.
• Strong skills in prioritization and organization.
• Excellent relationship-building, sales, and problem-solving capabilities.
• A self-motivated individual who demonstrates sound judgment.
• Capacity to make decisions and work independently in a highly autonomous setting.
• Previous experience in the insurance industry or within an insurance agency office is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
• Willingness and capability to travel throughout the designated territory.
• Ability to support a multistate territory with regular travel of around 40–50%.
• Candidates should ideally reside within or close to the designated territory, though those from outside the territory may be considered if they are willing and able to travel.
• Completion of an identity verification process is required, which may include biometric technology where permitted by law.
• Virtual interviews must be conducted via video.
