This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• New Business Prospecting: You will be driving up driveways, attending local cattle auctions, engaging with local Livestock, Cattlemans, and Stockmans associations, and building your business pipeline through proactive lead generation. You will also handle inbound leads promptly while prioritizing administrative tasks alongside your field activities.

• Field Sales Engagement: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussing Halter is best done over coffee at a kitchen table, while riding in the saddle, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You will be on the ranch assisting potential customers before discussing the benefits of Halter, even bringing coffee during calving season. You appreciate those magical moments that truly matter to our customers.

• Expanding Current Opportunities: You are consistently on the lookout for new prospects, which includes enhancing relationships with existing customers using Halter. You see value in broadening connections and discovering innovative ways to add value over time. Recognizing that not every rancher will collar all their cows, you view this as a unique chance to achieve your objectives.

• Achieving Sales Goals: High-growth sales targets do not intimidate you; you rise to the occasion and aim high. You are a skilled pipeline manager and confidently qualify leads without second-guessing. You can handle current deals while keeping next month’s opportunities in view.

• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond making a sale. After closing a deal, you focus on maintaining strong connections with customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, offering support and addressing any challenges they encounter with Halter’s products. You will also facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment of Halter, helping customers maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.

• Territory Ownership: You take great pride in your territory and the impact you create. Owning an entire territory means giving attention to every area and not overlooking any detail. You value being the representative of your territory, engaging with high-level stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to establish enduring relationships with regional agricultural groups.

• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership extends beyond the sale. You proactively ensure your customers enjoy the best onboarding experience possible. You manage the complete customer experience during the onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, facilitating a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even after handing off the customer to different teams across Halter.

• Field Insights & Feedback: Gathering customer feedback is essential not only to the companies you wish to work for but also to how you manage your territory. As the primary contact for collecting customer insights, you tirelessly advocate for their needs.

• Collaborating with Support Teams: You are a natural team player, reaching out to partners across Halter to quickly address any issues your customers face. You escalate problems when necessary and ensure that customers in your territory feel fully supported.

• Participating in Industry Events: You take advantage of relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. Your participation in demonstrations and networking opportunities helps expand Halter’s presence in the market.

• Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances strength. You strive to collaborate with the broader team to refine and advance the sales process, ensuring its alignment with the US market. As we grow, your insights will contribute to greater efficiencies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, thriving in high-stakes environments. You are well-prepared and adept at communicating with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and act proactively.

• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You possess a solid understanding of ranching or cattle operations, recognizing the unique challenges within the industry. This background enables you to connect meaningfully with customers about their key concerns.

• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You have a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales discussions, and fostering lasting customer relationships. You focus on building relationships rather than transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories and expanding existing relationships through upsell opportunities.

• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, ideally within agriculture or technology sectors.

• Problem-Solving & Collaboration Skills: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and drive solutions.

• Willingness to Travel: You are open to frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
