This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• New Business Prospecting: You will be driving to various locations, participating in local cattle auctions, engaging with associations such as Livestock, Cattlemans, and Stockmans, and building your business pipeline through proactive lead generation efforts. You will also manage inbound leads promptly while prioritizing administrative duties alongside your field activities.
• Sales in the Field: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussing Halter is best done over coffee at a kitchen table, while riding a horse, or in a side-by-side on a pasture. You will be out on the ranch assisting potential customers before showcasing the value of Halter. You’ll be delivering coffee during calving season, cherishing those magical moments that truly matter to our customers.
• Expanding Current Opportunities: You consistently seek out new opportunities, including growing your existing customers with Halter. You understand the importance of nurturing relationships and discovering innovative ways to enhance value over time. Not every rancher will collar all their cows, so you view this as a unique chance to achieve your goals.
• Achieving Sales Targets: High-growth sales targets do not intimidate you; you embrace challenges and aim high. You are proficient in pipeline management and do not hesitate to disqualify leads that are not a fit. You can handle current deals while keeping an eye on future opportunities.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond making a sale. After the sale, you strive to maintain strong connections with your customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, provide support, and resolve any challenges they may face with Halter’s products. You will also ensure a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment, helping customers maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Ownership: You take great pride in your territory and the work you do. Owning an entire area means addressing every detail and leaving no stone unturned. You value being the representative of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to foster lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership continues after the sale. You ensure that your customers receive the best possible onboarding experience. You actively manage the complete customer journey during the onboarding and deployment of Halter's product, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even when handing off customers to different teams at Halter.
• Gathering Field Insights & Feedback: You recognize the importance of feedback for the companies you wish to work with, and it is essential in how you manage your territory. As the primary contact for collecting customer feedback in your area, you work diligently to advocate for your customers’ needs.
• Collaborating with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, quickly seeking out partners across Halter to resolve any issues your customers may face. You escalate problems as necessary and ensure that customers in your territory feel fully supported.
• Participating in Industry Events: You take advantage of opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with current customers. You will engage in demonstrations and network to enhance Halter’s presence in the market.
• Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: You believe that a team is only stronger when collaborating. You aim to work with the broader team to improve and adapt the sales process, ensuring it meets the needs of the US market. As we grow, your insights will help drive increased efficiencies.
• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, thriving in high-pressure environments. You are well-prepared and skilled in communicating effectively with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and do not hesitate to act.
• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You are knowledgeable about ranching and cattle operations, understanding the unique challenges within the industry. This experience enables you to connect authentically with customers on what matters most to them.
• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You possess a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales conversations, and fostering lasting customer relationships. You focus on building relationships rather than transactional sales, pursuing long-term success stories and expanding existing relationships through upselling.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a sizable territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, ideally in agriculture or technology.
• Problem-Solving & Collaboration Skills: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, excelling at working with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive effective solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You are open to frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
• Health Benefits - We provide top-tier insurance for our employees to support their well-being and that of their families.
• 16 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers, along with various other benefits to support you and your family.
• We value time for recharging; hence, we offer wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.
• We are proud to provide a 401k plan with employer matching. We offer a full match on the first 3% you contribute and a 50% match on the next 2%.
• We provide an inclusive and attractive compensation package that includes salary, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan.
• We prioritize personal growth. Halter offers an annual USD$750 self-development budget for anything that fosters your personal growth.
