This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Achieve or surpass overall sales targets while enhancing HPS market share.
• Develop and secure approval for the specification of HPS products with end users and engineering firms.
• Oversee the assigned territory to ensure the efficient, effective, and economical attainment of sales goals.
• Conduct sales visits to targeted customers, distributors, consultants, and end users.
• Provide training to distributor personnel on selling and promoting Hubbell products.
• Manage distributor partnerships, including joint sales and marketing initiatives, inventory assessments, and feedback on quotes.
• Generate demand for products by servicing distributors, contractors, and end users.
• Deliver sales training, both internal and external, within the territory as directed by management.
• Conduct formal sales presentations for various groups, distributors, and end users.
• Communicate with different types of end users through various channels, including letters, phone calls, small group meetings, face-to-face interactions, trade shows, and business-oriented social events.
• Support distributors and end users by creating demand for the company’s product offerings.
• Establish strong rapport and relationships with end users, contractors, distributors, and specifying influencers.
• Assist customers with requests for literature, catalogs, technical details, drawings, and cross-reference information.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and the manufacturing facility to effectively resolve product issues.
• Generate a monthly report on the assigned territory.
• Organize invitations, registrations, and marketing fund deductions for trade shows.
• Qualify sales leads and direct them for follow-up.
• Exhibit leadership qualities through a strong work ethic and selling abilities, gaining respect from both customers and colleagues.
• Attain comprehensive knowledge of products and company policies, effectively communicating this to distributors and customers.
• Show excellent time management skills and maintain precise account records.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience will be taken into account.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant sales and territory management experience, with a strong preference for the gas utility industry.
• Up to 60% travel is required; a company vehicle will be provided.
• Proficiency in developing sales strategies, tracking projects, and advancing market development.
• Proven success in creating and executing sales initiatives.
• Possess a strategic vision with a practical approach to achieving objectives.
• Highly driven to meet financial targets.
• Well-organized and disciplined.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with a diverse range of customers and build relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Required experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Preferred experience with Salesforce (CRM).
