This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• New Business Prospecting: You will be visiting local cattle auctions, engaging with local Livestock, Cattlemans, and Stockmans associations to cultivate your business pipeline through proactive lead generation efforts. You will also manage inbound leads promptly while balancing administrative duties with field activities.
• On-Site Sales: You are comfortable getting your hands and boots dirty. Discussing Halter is best done over coffee at a kitchen table, while in the saddle, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You will be present on the ranch assisting potential customers before showcasing the value of Halter, even delivering coffee during calving season. You appreciate the special moments that significantly impact our customers.
• Growing Existing Opportunities: You are continuously on the lookout for new avenues, including enhancing relationships with current Halter customers. You recognize the importance of developing relationships and discovering new ways to add value over time.
• Achieving Sales Targets: Ambitious sales targets motivate you; you embrace challenges and aim high. You are a proficient pipeline manager who confidently qualifies leads without hesitation. You can manage current deals while keeping future opportunities in focus.
• Managing Customer Accounts: For you, relationship building transcends the initial sale. Post-sale, you strive to maintain strong connections with customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction, offering support, and addressing any issues they encounter with Halter’s products. You will also facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment, enabling customers to extract maximum value from Halter’s solutions.
• Owning Your Territory: You take immense pride in your work and have a strong sense of ownership. Managing an entire territory means you meticulously attend to every detail and leave no stone unturned. You value being the representative of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from local, state, and federal agencies to establish lasting connections with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership continues post-sale. You ensure that your customers receive the best onboarding experience possible. You actively oversee the complete customer experience during the onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even after handing off the customer to different teams within Halter.
• Gathering Field Insights & Feedback: You understand that feedback is essential to the companies you wish to align with, and it’s a core aspect of how you manage your territory. As the main point of contact for customer feedback in your region, you diligently advocate for your customers' needs.
• Collaborating with Support Teams: You naturally collaborate, proactively seeking partners across Halter to swiftly resolve any issues your customers face. You escalate problems as necessary, ensuring that customers in your territory feel fully supported.
• Participating in Industry Events: You capitalize on opportunities at pertinent industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen ties with existing customers. You will engage in demonstrations and network to enhance Halter’s presence in the market.
• Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances strength. You aim to collaborate with the broader team to optimize and refine the sales process, ensuring it aligns with the US market. As we grow, your contributions will facilitate greater efficiencies.
• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, excelling in high-stakes situations. You are well-equipped and proficient in communicating with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and act without delay.
• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You possess a solid understanding of ranching or cattle operations, recognizing the unique challenges of the industry. This background enables you to engage meaningfully with customers regarding their most pressing needs.
• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You have a proven track record of generating new business opportunities, negotiating value-based sales conversations, and fostering enduring customer relationships. You focus on building relationships rather than transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories while also identifying upsell opportunities within existing relationships.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on both sales and customer success, preferably in agriculture or technology.
• Problem Solving & Collaboration Ability: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and drive solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You are open to frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
