This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• New Business Prospecting: You will be driving up driveways, attending local cattle auctions, and engaging with your local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations to develop your business pipeline through outbound lead generation efforts. Timely response to inbound leads and prioritizing administrative tasks alongside your field activities is essential.
• In-Field Sales Activities: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussing Halter is best done over coffee at a kitchen table, in the saddle, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You will be on the ranch assisting potential customers before discussing the benefits of Halter, and bringing coffee during calving season. You appreciate the special moments that make a significant impact on our customers.
• Opportunity Expansion: You continuously seek new opportunities, including enhancing relationships with existing customers using Halter. You recognize the value in strengthening relationships and exploring new ways to enhance value over time. Not every rancher will collar all their cows, presenting a unique opportunity for you to achieve your goals.
• Achieving Sales Goals: High-growth sales targets do not intimidate you; you embrace challenges and aim high. You are an adept pipeline manager who confidently qualifies leads. You can manage current deals while keeping future opportunities in view.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond making a sale. Post-sale, you strive to maintain close ties with your customers to ensure their satisfaction, provide support, and address any challenges they encounter with Halter’s products. You will facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and the deployment of Halter, helping customers maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.
• Ownership of Territory: You take great pride in what you build and possess a strong sense of ownership. Managing an entire territory means treating every corner with care and leaving no stone unturned. You value representing your territory, engaging with high-level stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to establish lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding Experience: Your commitment to ownership continues after the sale. You ensure that your customers have the best onboarding experience possible. You actively manage the end-to-end customer experience during onboarding and product deployment, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even when handing off the customer to different teams within Halter.
• Gathering Field Insights & Feedback: Feedback is crucial not only for the companies you choose to work for but is also fundamental to how you manage your territory. As the primary point of contact for collecting customer feedback, you tirelessly advocate for your customers' needs.
• Collaborating with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, seeking out partnerships across Halter to quickly resolve any issues your customers face. You escalate problems as necessary to ensure that customers in your territory receive comprehensive support.
• Participation in Industry Events: You take advantage of opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will engage in demonstrations and networking to enhance Halter’s presence in the market.
• Contributing to the Canadian Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances strength. You strive to collaborate with the broader team to refine and evolve the sales process, ensuring its alignment with the Canadian market. Your input will drive greater efficiencies as we scale.
• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, excelling in high-pressure environments. You are well-prepared and adept at communicating with both customers and internal teams. Proactivity is key; you do not wait to act.
• Experience in Ranching / Cattle Operations: You are familiar with the intricacies of ranching or cattle operations and understand the industry's unique challenges. This experience enables you to connect meaningfully with customers about their core concerns.
• Sales & Customer Success Background: You have a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales conversations, and building lasting customer relationships. You focus on relationships rather than transactions, aiming for long-term success stories and expanding existing relationships through upselling.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, ideally in agriculture or technology.
• Problem-Solving & Collaboration Skills: Resourceful and quick-thinking, you effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You are prepared to travel frequently within your territory to connect with customers and prospects.
• Personal growth is a priority. Halter provides an annual USD$750 self-development budget for endeavors that foster personal growth.
• Health Benefits - We offer top-tier insurance for our employees to ensure they can care for themselves and their families.
• 16 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers, along with various other parental benefits supporting you and your family.
• We value our time to recharge; we offer wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.
• We proudly offer a 401k plan with an employer match, providing a 100% match on the first 3% contributed and a 50% match on the next 2%.
