This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.

📋 Description

• Business Prospecting: You will be actively engaging in new business development by driving to local cattle auctions, connecting with local Livestock, Cattlemans, and Stockmans associations, and building a robust business pipeline through outbound lead generation efforts. Timely responses to inbound leads will be a priority, along with managing administrative tasks alongside your field responsibilities.

• Field Sales Engagement: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussing Halter is best done over coffee at a kitchen table, while horseback, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You will be present on the ranch, assisting potential customers before elaborating on the benefits of Halter. During calving season, you’ll be delivering coffee to enhance customer relations. You appreciate the special moments that truly matter to our clients.

• Opportunity Expansion: You consistently seek new opportunities, including enhancing relationships with existing Halter customers. You recognize the importance of expanding connections and discovering innovative ways to add value over time. Understanding that not every rancher will collar all their cows, you perceive this as a unique chance to achieve your objectives.

• Achieving Sales Goals: Ambitious sales targets do not intimidate you; you embrace challenges and aim high. You are an adept pipeline manager who confidently qualifies leads. You can effectively juggle current deals while keeping an eye on future prospects.

• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships transcends merely making sales. Post-sale, you strive to maintain strong connections with your customers to ensure their continued satisfaction, provide support, and address any challenges they may encounter with Halter’s products. You will facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment of Halter, ensuring customers derive maximum value from our solutions.

• Ownership of Territory: You take significant pride in what you create and maintain a strong sense of ownership over your entire territory. This entails paying attention to every aspect and leaving no opportunity unexplored. You value being the representative of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to forge lasting relationships with regional agricultural organizations.

• Customer Onboarding Expertise: Your commitment to ownership continues post-sale. You ensure your customers experience the best onboarding possible. You actively manage the end-to-end customer journey during the onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even when collaborating with different teams across Halter.

• Gathering Field Insights & Feedback: You believe that feedback is essential for the companies you choose to work with, and it is integral to how you manage your territory. As the primary contact for gathering customer feedback in your area, you are dedicated to advocating for your customers' needs.

• Collaboration with Support Teams: You naturally seek collaboration, engaging with partners across Halter to swiftly resolve any issues your customers face. You escalate problems as necessary and ensure that customers in your territory receive comprehensive support.

• Participation in Industry Events: You capitalize on opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with current customers. You will engage in demonstrations and networking to expand Halter’s presence in the market.

• Contribution to US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that a team's strength is amplified when they collaborate. You aim to work with the larger team to refine and enhance the sales process, ensuring it aligns with the US market. As we grow, your insights will drive increased efficiencies.

• Motivated Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-driven, adaptable, and excel in high-pressure environments. You are well-prepared and proficient in communicating effectively with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and are proactive in your actions.

• Experience in Ranching / Cattle Operations: You possess a deep understanding of ranching or cattle operations, recognizing the unique challenges inherent in the industry. This background enables you to connect with customers on what matters most to them.

• Expertise in Sales & Customer Success: You have a proven track record of generating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales discussions, and fostering lasting customer relationships. You prioritize relationship-building over transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories and identifying upsell possibilities within existing relationships.

• Experience in Territory Management: Demonstrated experience managing a large territory with a balanced focus on both sales and customer success, preferably in the agriculture or technology sectors.

• Problem-Solving & Collaborative Skills: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively working with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and drive solutions.

• Willingness to Travel: Regular travel within your territory to connect with customers and prospects is expected.
