This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• In the role of Territory Manager at Halter, you will be essential in fostering new business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction within your assigned territory.
• Your responsibilities will include implementing sales strategies, cultivating robust customer relationships, and achieving ambitious growth targets, all while serving as Halter’s representative in the field.
• Your daily activities may involve riding horseback to assist customers in gathering cattle, using a side-by-side to navigate their pastures, discussing how Halter can enhance their operations, or participating in industry events like CattleCon or local Livestock Association gatherings.
• You will be driving up to customers' properties, attending local cattle auctions, and developing your new business pipeline.
• You don’t hesitate to get your hands and boots dirty.
• You consistently seek out new opportunities and work on expanding existing customer accounts with Halter.
• Ambitious sales targets motivate you; you embrace challenges and aim high.
• After securing a sale, you focus on maintaining strong relationships with your customers to ensure their continued satisfaction.
• Taking ownership of an entire territory means you will pay attention to every detail and leave no stone unturned.
• You are results-oriented, driven, and adaptable, thriving in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with ranching or cattle operations is essential, as you understand the unique challenges faced in the industry.
• You possess a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales conversations, and building enduring customer relationships.
• Experience in managing a large territory while maintaining a balanced focus on sales and customer success, preferably within agriculture or technology, is required.
• You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and drive solutions.
• A willingness to travel frequently within your territory to connect with customers and prospects is necessary.
• Knowledge of precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies is a plus.
• Experience in customer-facing roles within agricultural technology is advantageous.
• A background in selling software (SaaS) solutions in a B2B context is beneficial.
