This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• New Business Prospecting: You will be driving up driveways, attending local cattle auctions, and engaging with your local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations to build a pipeline of new business through proactive lead generation efforts.

• In-Field Sales: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussions about Halter are best held over coffee at a kitchen table, in the horse saddle, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You will be on the ranch assisting potential customers before exploring the value of Halter. You have a habit of dropping off coffee during calving season, cherishing the magical moments that truly matter to our customers.

• Expanding Current Opportunities: You are consistently on the lookout for new opportunities, which includes enhancing your existing customer base with Halter. You recognize the importance of nurturing relationships and discovering new ways to increase value over time. Not every rancher will collar all of their cows, presenting a distinctive chance to meet your objectives.

• Achieving Sales Goals: High-growth sales targets do not intimidate you; you embrace challenges and aim high. You are a proficient pipeline manager, confident in disqualifying leads when necessary. You can handle current deals while keeping an eye on future opportunities.

• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond just making a sale. After closing deals, you strive to maintain strong connections with customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, provide support, and tackle any challenges they may encounter with Halter’s products. You will also facilitate a smooth transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment of Halter, helping customers maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.

• Territory Ownership: You take great pride in what you build and possess a strong sense of ownership. Managing an entire territory involves giving attention to every detail and leaving no stone unturned. You value being the face of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to forge lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups.

• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership continues beyond the sale. You ensure your customers have the best onboarding experience possible, actively managing the entire customer journey during the onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, guaranteeing a seamless transition from sales to implementation, even when handing off customers to different teams across Halter.

• Field Learnings & Feedback: Gathering feedback is crucial for the companies you wish to work for, and it's a fundamental aspect of how you manage your territory. As the primary point of contact for collecting customer feedback in your area, you relentlessly advocate for your customers' needs.

• Collaborating with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator who actively seeks out partners across Halter to swiftly resolve any issues your customers face. You escalate problems when necessary, ensuring that customers in your territory feel completely supported.

• Attending Industry Events: You take advantage of opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will participate in demonstrations and network to enhance Halter’s presence in the market.

• Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances strength. You aim to collaborate with the broader team to refine and evolve the sales process, ensuring it meets the needs of the US market. Your insights will be instrumental in driving greater efficiencies as we scale.

• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, excelling in high-pressure environments. You are well-prepared and adept at communicating with both customers and internal teams. Proactivity is your hallmark; you don’t wait to take action.

• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You have a solid understanding of ranching and cattle operations, aware of the unique challenges within the industry. This experience enables you to connect with customers on what matters most.

• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You possess a strong background in generating new business opportunities, negotiating value-based sales conversations, and cultivating lasting customer relationships. Your approach focuses on building relationships rather than engaging in transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories while expanding existing relationships through upsell opportunities.

• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, preferably within the agriculture or technology sectors.

• Problem Solving & Collaboration Ability: Resourceful and quick-witted, you work effectively with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive solutions.

• Willingness to Travel: Frequent travel within your territory is required to engage with customers and prospects.
