• Accountable for the on-label promotion and implementation of sales strategies for approved Esperion products to targeted clients within the specified geographic region.
• Meet individual territory sales objectives as determined by Esperion Commercial Leadership.
• Assess performance metrics with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to ensure the territory achieves optimal sales outcomes.
• Cultivate and sustain robust business relationships with key clients in the designated area.
• Effectively promote and educate Health Care Providers (HCPs) on the use of Esperion products through one-on-one meetings, virtual interactions, company-sanctioned promotional speaker programs, and other authorized initiatives.
• Examine local market trends, devise, execute, and track performance and outcomes to enhance the appropriate utilization of Esperion products.
• Exhibit successful utilization of sales and marketing tools and resources to fulfill business objectives.
• Demonstrate and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Esperion product payer coverage to achieve market access goals for the assigned territory.
• Occasionally attend local, regional, and national congresses to promote Esperion brands to HCP attendees.
• Ensure adherence to all corporate policies and procedures, complete all required compliance training, and consistently exhibit behaviors aligned with company values.
• Comply with all Esperion Expense Report guidelines and adhere to the designated territory budget.
• Establish and maintain efficient communication among Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Territory Managers (TMs); organize and monitor performance to realize the business potential of the territory.
• Strive to maintain alignment between Sales and Marketing efforts and ensure high standards in executing business initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize pull-through from commercial and government payers.
• Capable of upholding vendor credentialing requirements for entities like VendorMate and RepTrax to maintain access to customer locations.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Degree in sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, or other STEM fields) is preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or relevant sales; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience interacting with or working alongside Healthcare Professionals is preferred but not essential.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 30%, including overnight stays for territory-related business.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that meets Esperion employment criteria are required.
• Proven record of consistent high performance in sales, academics, athletics, or other comparable endeavors.
• Enthusiasm for working in a start-up environment or a successful background in an entrepreneurial sales model with sole responsibility for product promotion across a large geographic area.
