📋 Description

• New Business Development: You will be driving to various locations, participating in local cattle auctions, engaging with local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations, and building your business pipeline through proactive lead generation efforts. You will also manage inbound leads promptly while balancing administrative tasks with your field activities.

• Field Sales Engagement: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussions about Halter are best had over coffee at a kitchen table, while riding horses, or on an ATV in the pasture. You will be on-site at ranches assisting potential customers before discussing the benefits of Halter. Delivering coffee during calving season is part of your approach. You appreciate the special moments that significantly impact our customers.

• Growth of Current Accounts: You consistently seek new opportunities, including enhancing relationships with existing Halter clients. You understand the importance of nurturing relationships and identifying new avenues for increasing value over time. Recognizing that not all ranchers will collar every cow presents a unique chance for you to achieve your objectives.

• Achieving Sales Goals: Ambitious sales targets do not intimidate you; you embrace challenges and aim high. As a skilled pipeline manager, you decisively evaluate leads without hesitation. You can manage current deals while keeping future opportunities in mind.

• Customer Relationship Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond making a sale. Post-sale, you strive to maintain strong connections with your customers to ensure their continued satisfaction, provide support, and tackle any challenges they encounter with Halter’s products. You will also facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and implementation, helping clients maximize the value they derive from Halter’s solutions.

• Ownership of Territory: You exhibit a strong sense of ownership and take pride in your accomplishments. Managing an entire territory means attending to every detail and exploring every opportunity. You value being the representative of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to forge lasting connections with regional agricultural groups.

• Customer Onboarding Responsibility: Your ownership mindset extends beyond the sale. You ensure your customers experience an exceptional onboarding process. You take charge of the entire customer experience from onboarding to the deployment of Halter’s product, ensuring a smooth transition even when responsibilities are handed off to different teams across Halter.

• Gathering Feedback & Insights: You recognize the importance of feedback not only for the companies you aspire to join but also as a core aspect of how you manage your territory. As the primary contact for collecting customer feedback in your area, you diligently advocate for your customers' needs.

• Collaboration with Support Teams: You excel in collaboration, seeking partnerships across Halter to swiftly resolve any issues your customers may face. You escalate challenges when necessary and ensure that clients in your territory feel thoroughly supported.

• Participation in Industry Events: You capitalize on opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. Engagement in demonstrations and networking is part of your strategy to enhance Halter’s presence in the marketplace.

• Contribution to the Canadian Sales Strategy: You believe strongly in the power of teamwork. You aim to work collaboratively with the broader team to refine and evolve the sales process, ensuring it aligns with the Canadian market. Your insights will be invaluable as we scale and seek greater efficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Ranching / Cattle Operations: You possess a solid understanding of ranching or cattle operations, allowing you to relate to customers on the unique challenges they face in the industry.

• Expertise in Sales & Customer Success: You have a proven track record of generating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales discussions, and fostering enduring customer relationships. You prioritize building relationships over transactional sales, focusing on long-term success and expanding existing accounts through upselling.

• Experience in Territory Management: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, ideally within the agriculture or technology sectors.

• Problem-Solving & Collaborative Skills: You are resourceful and quick to think on your feet, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and implement solutions.
