• Business Prospecting: You will drive up driveways, attend local cattle auctions, and engage with your local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations to build your business pipeline through proactive lead generation efforts. You will also handle inbound leads promptly while prioritizing administrative tasks alongside your field activities.
• In-Field Sales: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussions about Halter are best had over coffee at a kitchen table, while in the horse saddle, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You will be present on the ranch, assisting potential customers before discussing the benefits of Halter. Delivering coffee during calving season is part of your commitment, as you cherish the special moments that significantly impact our customers.
• Expanding Existing Opportunities: You are constantly on the lookout for new possibilities, including the expansion of your current customer base with Halter. You recognize the importance of nurturing relationships and discovering innovative ways to enhance value over time. Not every rancher will collar all their cows, presenting a unique opportunity for you to meet your goals.
• Achieving Sales Targets: High-growth sales targets do not intimidate you; instead, you embrace challenges and aim high. You excel at managing your sales pipeline and confidently qualify leads. You can manage current deals while keeping an eye on future opportunities.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond making a sale. Post-sale, you strive to maintain strong connections with your customers to ensure their continued satisfaction, provide support, and resolve any issues they may encounter with Halter’s products. You will facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment, helping clients maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Ownership: You take great pride in what you build and possess a strong sense of ownership. Managing an entire territory means giving attention to every detail and leaving no stone unturned. You value being the face of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to forge enduring relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your sense of ownership continues post-sale as you ensure your customers enjoy an exceptional onboarding experience. You actively manage the complete customer experience during the onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even when handing off customers to different teams within Halter.
• Field Learnings & Feedback: You understand the importance of feedback for the companies you choose to work with, and it is integral to how you manage your territory. As the primary point of contact for gathering customer feedback in your area, you work diligently to advocate for your customers' needs.
• Collaborating with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, proactively seeking partners across Halter to quickly resolve any issues your customers may face. You escalate problems when necessary and ensure that customers in your territory feel thoroughly supported.
• Attending Industry Events: You capitalize on opportunities at pertinent industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will participate in demonstrations and network to enhance Halter’s market presence.
• Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances strength. You aim to collaborate with the broader team to refine and evolve the sales process, ensuring it aligns with the US market. Your input will contribute to greater efficiencies as we scale.
• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, thriving in high-stakes environments. You are well-prepared and proficient at communicating with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and do not hesitate to act.
• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You possess a solid understanding of ranching or cattle operations, aware of the unique challenges faced in the industry. This experience enables you to connect meaningfully with customers regarding what matters most.
• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You have a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, negotiating value-based sales conversations, and nurturing enduring customer relationships. You prioritize building relationships over transactional sales, aiming for long-term success and can expand existing relationships through upselling opportunities.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced focus on sales and customer success, ideally within the agriculture or technology sectors.
• Problem Solving & Collaboration Ability: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive solutions.
