This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• New Business Prospecting: You will be actively engaging in local cattle auctions, visiting local Livestock, Cattlemans, and Stockmans associations, and generating new business leads through outbound efforts. Additionally, you will manage inbound leads promptly while prioritizing administrative tasks alongside your field activities.

• Field Sales Engagement: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. The best discussions about Halter occur over coffee at a kitchen table, while in the saddle, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You'll be present on ranches, assisting potential customers before discussing the value of Halter, and even delivering coffee during calving season. You cherish those magical moments that make a significant difference for our customers.

• Expanding Current Opportunities: Always on the lookout for new opportunities, you will focus on growing existing customer relationships with Halter. You recognize the value in nurturing these connections and discovering new ways to enhance value over time. Understanding that not every rancher will collar all their cows presents a unique chance to achieve your goals.

• Achieving Sales Targets: You thrive on high-growth sales targets and welcome challenges with enthusiasm. As an expert pipeline manager, you confidently disqualify leads without hesitation. You can handle current deals while keeping an eye on future opportunities.

• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships transcends merely making a sale. After the initial sale, you strive to maintain close relationships with your customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction, providing support, and addressing any challenges with Halter's products. You will also facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and product deployment, helping customers maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.

• Territory Ownership: With a strong sense of ownership, you take pride in what you build. Managing an entire territory means addressing every corner and leaving no stone unturned. You value being the face of your territory, engaging with high-level stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to cultivate lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups.

• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership extends beyond the sale. You ensure that your customers experience the best onboarding possible. You take charge of the entire customer experience during the onboarding and deployment of Halter's product, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even after handing the customer off to different teams within Halter.

• Field Insights & Feedback: You understand the importance of feedback, not only for the companies you want to work with but also as part of your territory management. As the primary point of contact for gathering customer feedback, you advocate tirelessly for your customers’ needs.

• Collaborating with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, actively seeking out partnerships within Halter to resolve customer issues quickly. You escalate problems when necessary and ensure that customers in your territory feel fully supported.

• Participation in Industry Events: You take advantage of relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. Your involvement in demonstrations and networking helps expand Halter’s market influence.

• Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe in the power of teamwork. You aim to collaborate with the broader team to refine and enhance the sales process to fit the US market. Your insights will contribute to greater efficiencies as we scale.

• Driven Mindset & Communication Skills: You are results-focused, motivated, and adaptable, excelling in high-pressure environments. You possess strong communication skills that enable you to engage effectively with customers and internal teams. Proactive by nature, you take initiative without waiting for direction.

• Experience in Ranching / Cattle Operations: You are familiar with the nuances of ranching or cattle operations, understanding the unique challenges within the industry. This experience allows you to connect meaningfully with customers about what matters most to them.

• Expertise in Sales & Customer Success: You have a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, negotiating value-driven sales conversations, and fostering lasting customer relationships. You prioritize relationships over transactions and aim for long-term success stories, identifying upsell opportunities to expand existing relationships.

• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced focus on both sales and customer success, preferably within the agriculture or technology sectors.

• Problem-Solving & Collaborative Skills: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, working well with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and drive effective solutions.

• Willingness to Travel: You are open to frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
