• New Business Prospecting: You’re actively engaging with local cattle auctions, visiting driveways, and connecting with associations such as Livestock, Cattlemans, and Stockmans to build your business pipeline through proactive lead generation. You promptly handle inbound leads while managing administrative tasks alongside your field activities.
• Field Sales: You embrace the opportunity to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussions about Halter are best had over coffee at a kitchen table, from the saddle of a horse, or while riding in a side-by-side across a pasture. You’re present on the ranch assisting potential customers before highlighting the benefits of Halter. You even deliver coffee during calving season, cherishing those special moments that truly matter to our customers.
• Expanding Current Opportunities: You are constantly on the lookout for new possibilities, including enhancing your existing customer base with Halter. You see value in nurturing relationships and discovering new avenues for growth over time. Recognizing that not every rancher will collar all their cows presents a unique opportunity for you to achieve your objectives.
• Achieving Sales Goals: High-growth sales targets motivate you rather than intimidate you; you rise to the occasion and enjoy setting ambitious goals. As an expert in pipeline management, you confidently qualify leads without hesitation. You efficiently manage current deals while keeping an eye on future opportunities.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships goes beyond just closing a sale. Post-sale, you focus on maintaining strong connections with your customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, provide support, and address any challenges they encounter with Halter’s products. You will facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment of Halter, helping customers maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Ownership: You possess a strong sense of ownership and take pride in what you cultivate. Managing an entire territory requires thorough attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness. You value representing your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to forge enduring relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership extends beyond the sale. You ensure your customers receive the highest quality onboarding experience. You actively manage the comprehensive customer journey during onboarding and deployment of Halter’s products, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even as you hand off customers to different teams within Halter.
• Field Learnings & Feedback: You understand that feedback is crucial for the companies you wish to work with and is integral to how you manage your territory. Acting as the primary contact for collecting customer feedback in your area, you tirelessly advocate for your customers’ needs.
• Collaboration with Support Teams: You naturally collaborate, seeking out partnerships across Halter to swiftly address any issues your customers face. You escalate concerns when necessary and ensure that customers in your territory feel comprehensively supported.
• Participation in Industry Events: You take advantage of opportunities at pertinent industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You engage in demonstrations and networking to enhance Halter’s presence in the market.
• Contribution to the US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances overall strength. You aim to collaborate with the broader team to refine and improve the sales process to meet the needs of the US market. Your insights will be instrumental in driving greater efficiencies as we scale.
• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, thriving in high-pressure environments. You are well-prepared and proficient in communicating with both customers and internal teams. Proactivity is second nature to you; you take initiative without delay.
• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You have a strong understanding of ranching or cattle operations, enabling you to relate to the specific challenges of the industry. This background allows you to engage meaningfully with customers about what is most important to them.
• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You possess a solid history of generating new business opportunities, conducting value-based sales conversations, and fostering lasting customer relationships. You focus on building relationships rather than transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories and identifying upsell opportunities to expand existing relationships.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, preferably in the agriculture or technology sectors.
• Problem-Solving & Collaboration Ability: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, adept at working with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and implement solutions.
