This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• New Business Prospecting: You will be driving to various locations, participating in local cattle auctions, engaging with local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations, while developing your business pipeline through proactive lead generation efforts.
• Field Sales: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussions about Halter are best held over coffee at a kitchen table, while riding a horse, or during a side-by-side trip in a pasture.
• Expanding Current Opportunities: You are always on the lookout for new opportunities, which includes growing your existing customer base with Halter.
• Achieving Sales Goals: Ambitious sales targets motivate you; you embrace challenges and aim high.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond just closing a sale.
• Territory Representation: You appreciate being the representative of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to forge enduring relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment does not end after the sale; you ensure a smooth onboarding process for customers.
• Gathering Field Insights & Feedback: Serving as the main point of contact for collecting customer feedback within your territory.
• Collaboration with Support Teams: You are naturally collaborative, proactively seeking partners across Halter to swiftly address any issues encountered by your customers.
• Participation in Industry Events: You take advantage of opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with current customers.
• Contributing to the Canadian Sales Strategy: You work with the broader team to refine and enhance the sales process, ensuring it aligns with the Canadian market.
• Proactive Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, thriving in high-pressure environments.
• Ranching / Cattle Knowledge: You are familiar with the intricacies of ranching or cattle operations, grasping the unique challenges faced in the industry.
• Sales & Customer Success Proficiency: You have a proven track record of generating new business opportunities, conducting value-based sales negotiations, and fostering long-term customer relationships.
• Territory Management Experience: You possess experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, ideally in agriculture or technology sectors.
• Problem Solving & Collaborative Skills: Resourceful and quick-witted, you work effectively with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and implement solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You are prepared for frequent travel within your territory to connect with customers and prospects.
