This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Design and oversee Sonic Automotive’s enterprise strategy aimed at establishing long-term talent pipelines through collaborations with colleges, universities, and technical schools.
• Formulate a national partnership strategy that focuses on community colleges, universities, HBCUs, and technical trade programs corresponding to Sonic’s operational areas and growth markets.
• Cultivate strong relationships with academic leadership, career services, and faculty to integrate Sonic into curricula, programs, and career pathways.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to create campus recruiting strategies in key markets.
• Provide Talent Acquisition teams and store leaders with the necessary tools and messaging to successfully attract and convert early-career talent.
• Establish and monitor key success metrics, such as pipeline volume, conversion rates, retention, and time-to-productivity.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in talent acquisition, workforce strategy, campus recruiting, or external partnerships.
• Strong business acumen with the capability to translate talent strategy into operational outcomes.
• Proven experience in influencing senior leaders within a multi-location or decentralized context.
• Willingness to travel (40–50%) to campuses and dealership locations.
• Preferred background in automotive retail operations, hospitality, or multi-unit service environments.
• Knowledge of technical, vocational, or dealership training pathways.
• Employees have the option to work remotely.
