• Take ownership of and expand sales within the territory for Trek, Electra Bicycles, and Bontrager Accessories.
• Establish sales goals and oversee forecasting, ordering, prospecting, and pipeline management.
• Evaluate dealer performance and implement strategies to enhance sell-through rates, assortment, and profitability.
• Act as a business advisor to retailers by recommending improvements in merchandising, inventory, staffing, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Appoint, nurture, and support retail partners to optimize Trek’s market presence.
• Develop long-term, trust-based relationships through regular in-person visits.
• Provide product knowledge and sales training to retailer teams.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards regarding product presentation and in-store experience.
• Identify, prospect, and onboard new retail partners to broaden market coverage and enhance distribution.
• Monitor competitive activities and local market trends.
• Represent Trek at retail events, demonstrations, and market activations.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while consistently embodying the Trek brand.
• A minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in a consultative, relationship-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated capability to influence, negotiate, and lead sales discussions with assurance.
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and proficient at follow-up and territory planning.
• Experience in the cycling industry is preferred.
• Proficient with CRM systems and sales tools.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Ascend POS.
• Bonus: Knowledge of the territory and local markets.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including occasional overnight trips and visits to Trek HQ in Wisconsin.
