This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Support the Pilz distribution sales channel by establishing a strong relationship with all listed distributors.
• Conduct sales presentations at distributor sites and industry trade shows.
• Provide training to Pilz listed distributors regarding the functionality of all Pilz components.
• Enhance the sales of the distribution channel by a specified amount within the designated territory.
• Travel to distributors within the assigned area to assist with training and participate in joint calls.
• Aid Pilz listed distributors in identifying and cultivating new sales opportunities.
• Act as an advocate for the distributors within Pilz Automation Safety, L.P.
• Ensure an exceptional experience for the distributors in all interactions.
• Collaborate with the National Channel Manager (NCM) to onboard new distributors.
• Assist assigned Pilz listed distributors with their annual renewal agreements.
• Redirect accounts that are outside the “Direct Sales Guideline” to the appropriate distribution resource in the designated territory.
• Direct sales efforts towards targeted accounts.
• Serve as a direct sales resource for Pilz services and training within the assigned area.
• Maintain and update the information within the Client Relations Management tool (CRM).
• Provide management with reports, including but not limited to business reports, travel plans, and objectives for the upcoming quarter.
• Conduct quarterly reviews.
• Collaborate with the National Channel Manager to formulate annual sales projections for distribution in the assigned territory.
• Report any changes in forecasts and the reasons for these changes promptly.
• Maintain an accurate calendar with a rolling three-month visit schedule.
• Timely completion and submission of expense reports.
• Communicate cross-territorial sales opportunities with the relevant Pilz sales resource.
• Provide support to members of the Key Account Management and Business Development teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Travel is required approximately 80% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree; 2-3 years of experience in automation sales or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Capable of speaking to large groups.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of autonomy.
• Ability to acquire and demonstrate technical knowledge.
• Willingness to learn about Pilz products and procedures.
• Well-organized and team-oriented.
