This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Meets sales objectives, enhances market share, and boosts profitability.
• Develops and monitors an action plan aligned with the strategy to reach targets.
• Collaborates closely with team members to ensure effective communication and joint efforts.
• Engages with customers and accounts daily to showcase and demonstrate Merit products, explaining their advantages.
• Identifies prospective customers and introduces them to Merit’s product offerings.
• Maintains communication with customers to assess satisfaction, address concerns, and provide solutions.
• Prepares and submits pricing contracts for products to customers.
• Makes decisions within authorized limits regarding product pricing to maximize sales volume and profitability.
• Executes sales and marketing strategies within the territory.
• Inputs and tracks sales opportunities and customer data in the CRM system.
• Coordinates with other departments to stay updated on new products from Merit and to relay customer feedback regarding product needs and potential innovations.
• Prepares and submits reports to the Regional Sales Manager as required.
• Regularly prepares and presents a summary of activities.
• Participates in various sales training and planning meetings to learn about new products and marketing initiatives.
• Maintains an extensive knowledge of Merit and competitor products, including their strengths and weaknesses.
• Keeps a high level of awareness regarding the clinical environment and clinical studies.
• Engages in industry or promotional events, such as trade shows and workshops.
• Attends various sales meetings.
• Regularly manages consignments.
• Travels by car, train, airplane, etc., to fulfill sales responsibilities with customers.
• Performs a variety of other sales-related tasks as needed.
• Education and experience equivalent to a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
• At least three years of direct sales experience, ideally in the medical device sector.
• Strong communication skills in French, Flemish, and English, with the ability to understand the needs of others in a sales context.
• A high level of personal motivation and determination to achieve personal and professional objectives.
• Exceptional oral presentation skills and the ability to think on one’s feet to analyze problems and communicate solutions to a group of medical technicians and clinicians.
• Capable of learning to use medical equipment and identifying potential improvements in its application.
• Effective team player with the ability to work collaboratively towards organizational goals.
• Proficient in business mathematics to calculate percentages and prepare financial and sales documentation.
• Highly organized, with the ability to document and report information accurately.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel extensively and work long hours as necessary to meet goals.
• Excellent driving record, with no driving accidents in the past three years or a maximum of one driving ticket in the last three years.
• Proven computer skills, particularly in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software applications.
• Fluent in French, Flemish, and English.
